Just had a little rant on Mulsanne's Corner - I'm glad that generally speaking, this forum is a safe haven from the kind of constant, joy-sapping complaining and whining elsewhere on the internet.

I'm not a fan of some of the de la sarthe circuit changes either, but I guess they have to make adjustments to these corners in order to aid "safety". Thankfully the track still offers a decent challenge and not all of the character has been wiped away, yet.

Interesting, the last I remember hearing was they were looking at a hydrogen car of their own for Le Mans. Perhaps this is a first toe-in type of deal?

With BMW leaving Formula E and DTM moving to GT3 it would not surprise me.
They are developing a new GT3 but besides GT4 they have nothing.

There is also the option for a large multi brand manufacturer to enter two brands using basically one LMH car - I realise VAG are doing that in LMDh - but what is to stop say Stallantis (new Peugeot / Fiat group) using the base car of the new Peugeot LMH and rebranding it a Alfa / Maserati or Chrysler all of which have sportscar history....

I'm keen to know more about how the BOP is going to work. Like are they going to truly balance out performance or is it just going to be, well ok, you are super quick so we will give you 60kg of ballast and a lower rev limit.

Being in the discussions basically means nothing... it's years WV is invited in f1 technical board discussions but it's from over a decade they tease about an involvment as engine supplier that at the end never actually happens.
At the moment, GM is still evaluting what to do for 2023, mclaren's zak brown just said to be happy of lmdh ruleset but nothing much else, mazda already said adios... at the moment just can't remember any other manufacturer that claimed to be interested in lmdh (excluding audi, porsche and acura).

I'm hearing/reading all over the place that a McLaren announcement is imminent. Top of my personal wish list would be Mercedes.

I would say:
- GM
- Ford
- Lexus
- McLaren

Maybe Hyundai? Wouldn't surprise me if Hyundai commits to endurance racing they'll go with LMH.

don't know, KIA is 50%-50% involved in electric and hybrid cars production for their line-up, but likely will focus on electric cars for the incoming future.
