The Guess/Hilliard GT4 Aston will also have Darren Turner driving for the team on his free weekends.

This has got to be looking like the broadest GT Cup field in a good while.

GT4/H is going to be the real one to watch

Glad to see the Marcos competing in this series. With a good mix of cars in all the classes and a good mix of pro and am drivers, the series is looking good

Some more changes to the grid from the GT3 preview on there website.

Both Lucky Khera and John Dhillon have swapped Ferrari 488 GTCs for Lamborghini Huracan GT3s.

GT Cup will now headline a single-day avent at Brands Hatch on 1st May, the weekend when they were due to support the now-postponed GTWC.

Oddly the GT Cup news items states that the event may be behind closed doors, even though MSV are opening up to spectators for non-elite events from Apr 17. Only BSB, BTCC and BGT are considered 'elite' I believe.

Its saying on the press release that restrictions will still be in place whatever those are meant to be.

Nothing on spectators at the moment.

Be a shame as its the best grid in my opinion GT Cups had maybe ever to have most of the rounds behind closed doors.

I don’t have it to hand but I believe the press release said ‘likely to he behind closed doors’, which is odd because MSV have already said circuits are open from Apr 17 except for BTCC, BSB and BGT, which are classed as elite sport and thus have to wait another month.

Ignore this. You are right, it says ‘restrictions’ not ‘closed doors’.

It said at first closed doors then I imagine it was changed as they are unsure.

I'm glad you said that! I was sure it originally did say closed doors. I'm relieved firstly that I'm not going mad and secondly that we can look forward to a really full and fun day of racing!

As a ticket holder for the GTWC meeting, I'm a bit torn on this. It's good to have some racing that weekend, but I'm a bit concerned about the lack of support the GTWC will now probably have later in the year (if it happens, etc.)

Ah well, good for the GT Cup folks, more track time and proper garages. Will ponder heading along for it when details appear.

Round 1 Entry List

https://www.gtcup.co.uk/calendar/eve...s-1-2-3-4-2021

Nearly 40 cars. I'd take GT Cup over British any day with that grid.

Woah!

I usually only attend British GT at Snetterton & Silverstone and GTWC at Silverstone or brands, but this grid makes it certainly worth considering a second trip to Snetterton!

GT3 has a very respectable 7 proper GT3s, and that GT4 grid is something

Being a Mclaren fan, I can argue with the numbers there

Round a laptime of just over 1 minute round the national layout and nearly 40 cars the 15 minute qualifying is going to be rather interesting say the least.
