FIA GT Round 6 Donington Park

More team have entered their car for the next round of the FIA GT championship. Scuderia Ecosse, Gruppe M and JRW Racing and DAMS Lamborghini are all on the list. I've placed the provisional entry list on the site.

FIA GT sure putts some nice grids together no doubt about it. I know they came to America in 1997 through 1999. Why did FIA GT stop coming to North America? Because of the ALMS? It seems like they could run on a date here that doesn't conflict with the ALMS and even get a few local teams to participate.

Cost is the main reason for not having a transatlantic trip.

in the time you mention, jhansen, you had big teams with factory support or full works teams in the championship. the focus has now moved to privateer teams, which, has K-b said, don't have the means to pay the trip

Great to see the TVR's on the grid.
The NGT class has finally over ten entry's, which it should have.
Also nice to see a third Viper on the list.

pat pearce has left lister to drive for rollcentre.

given his, ahem, contribution to lawrence pearce's effort this year maybe Mr Short will have more repair bills!

is pat pearce seriously loaded, he must be?

anybody know who will be pedalling black beauty this weekend?

Really looking forward to this race. The FIA have put together a great programme. Entrance only £15.00. Really knocks spots off the TOCA programme.

Come on RML especially car Number 7.

Pat Pearce left Lister earlier already. Or had to leave on request of Mr. Pearce, I don't know. But it's not the case that he left Lister to drive for Rollcentre.

The statement about the repair bills is a bit of a low one in my opinion, he's a very talented driver. The shunt in Monza where he lost it under braking was a mistake perhaps, but there aren't any drivers on the field who don't make mistakes. Some drivers get away with it, others aren't lucky and find a armco in their way. The way you're stating it paints him down as a wrecker, and that's certainly not the case.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Patrick several times (Monza/Valencia/Magny-Cours) and it's a very nice chap. Modest, down to earth, in for a laugh, and very approachable. So I wish him all the luck in his Rollcentre adventure

I'm especially curious if the BGT NGT teams can make a fist to the current Freisinger/GPC domination.

Paul Knapfield in the Konrad Saleen? It's becoming a bit of a rent-a-drive operation, with only Lechner having any real pace.

That Saleen would be a real challenger with a decent driver line up.

But this has always been the way of sportscars.
