Correct.

Not to say that Sue didn't do a great job in winning it, but the question is for circuit racing on tarmac.

Heading 'Motorsport' covers anything with a motor according to the british media bikes, planes, boats, lawnmowers, etc.Accually there are 2 old threads here with same title totaling 660 posts where the the subject has been well discussed over the past 8 years.

Rob29 & bestfit

This was the original question and it was not about the all encompassing Motorsport as you have quoted according to the British media, it was & is about a Motor Racing Championship.

Do you understand that it is,
Not drag racing,
Not rallying,
Not bike racing,
Not hill climbs,
Not boat racing,
Not lawnmowers,
Not planes,
It is about a MOTOR RACING CHAMPIONSHIP for Drivers (yes i am yelling),how hard is this to understand?

Whats hard to understand is why such a narrow range of events is of such significance....

If a woman does win a series it will devalue that series enough that it is no longer important enough to count.... because according to you it should be painfully obvious to all of us that women just can't drive properly. How hard is THAT to understand?

What narrow range of events, the quoted list was only an example of similar type series and not just from Australia, it extends worldwide, how hard is that to understand?

And as for females that cant drive properly, you said it not me, who's the moron now?

That would be her Mum Coral.

What I don't get is your apparent obsession with the subject.
Are you a failed female driver Dasher?

What I was referring to was the title of the thread. As I have said before women have won car racing championships, whether you concider them 'significant'we can argue for ever -see 672 posts on the other 2 threads with same title.
Anyway I have learned something from this thread -that Formula Brabham/Holden/Australiia/now Tasman? still exists-not yet clear whether the nice lady doing hill climbs will be doing the races.

Sizzle with all due respect, are you sure you are not getting Sue Evans mother confused with Coral Taylor who is the navigator for Neale Bates and in turn who is the mother of Molly Taylor?

Formula Brabham/Holden/Australia/now Tasman? still exists as a combined class that can include Formula 1, Indycar, ChampCar, Formula 3000, Formula Nippon, Formula Holden/4000, Formula 5000, Formula Atlantic, Formula R in the Independent Race Series (irace) but you could hardly call it a major category anymore and hasn't been for a long long while in Australia, which in their heyday were a fantastic class to watch but has declined dramatically over the years with only a handful of cars now on the grid at any meeting.

But this is getting off topic a bit (apologies)

Yeah might be right Dasher.

Still doesn't mean that you don't have an unhealthy obsession with the question.

Did you know that chicks blink at least twice as much as guys on average?

How does blink rate affect driving skill? I know some of the F1 drivers over the years have had an incredibly low blink rate

Mandy Beales - just taken out an Australian Historic Motorcycle Title against the great Kiwi rider David Coles.
Very, very good rider on a well prepared Honda.
First ever female solo Australian Titles Champion.

Yes I don't see the problem either? And this press release has solved 2 questions.First the original point of this thread-Amber HAS won an australian championship.
Second question -what is Leanne doing this year?

Do what job? Drive the safety car? Tell Mr Whincup to pack his bags...

The larger question for me is where is Robbie Jones?

Lead more laps than the large majority of the V8 Supertaxi drivers.Any official position is important but driving the pace car- well- that is really important. I am truly surprised a man of your experience is not already aware of that. You must not realise how difficult it is to take orders and get them right after the 25year servent of the people has handed out his eddicts.
