TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Tasman's 2006 Car

Tasman Racing launched thier 06 car according to the (offcial web page) for the supertaxi's, but the picture is very small to have a good look, but going off the picture it looks pretty good. Has anyone got a bigger picture of the 06 Tasman car.

Check out the website, it has been updated. Side has a tiger head on it, new sponsor is Smorgan Steel.

How about using the correct name for the seires when someone from another country asks about it. Your asuming that everyone will get your now quite boring "supertaxi" gag.

No worries. I may be a yank, but I know the proper name of the series. I just saw the name "Tasman" and got interested.

There are people over here who refer to NASCAR as cabs or taxis. But your taxi series is waayyy better of course.

If you read MN you will find that Smorgon Steel is probably only the main sponsor for China (if it happens). A bit like some NASCAR teams, the team will change sponsors from race to race, according to feature story it is more economical for sponsors. New main sponsor coming for Rounds 1&2 and separate one for NZ round and so on. Striking cover pic of car in Smorgon Signs, wonder what they will do if China is definitely off.

And they have HSV now, that is brilliant for them. But they have also gone to Classic Carlectables, I think in a few years, Biante will have to close down because everyone is joining Classic

Lame is very harsh.

Some people call it "the best touring car championship in the world"

Others call them Supertaxis etc. You decide which is lame.

Can someone maybe drop the DJR Ford, Tasman's Commondore and the Toll/HSVDT machine all on the same page?

Poor Lee Diffey couldn't tell the cars apart when they looked different.

This year he'll have Buckleys!

Yes there are. There are also people who call them 5 litre touring cars, my favourite was I once heard them referred to as "the fastest one make cars in Australia".

Does it really bother what they are called. Its all just a bit of fun and giggles.

Here are a couple more photo's, first one is from there site.

And this one scanned form V8X Magazine.

I think this is the best looking Holden out there, it will take abit to beat the looks of Ingalls car though.

Definatly the BEST looking Commodore, make the TOLL car look very cheap, well done to the boys at TASMAN Motosport, pity that it is a Holden.
