The fella under the bonnet (Zeyd) bought it off Alan Zini a long time ago. It's still the same apart from a black bonnet, oh and an Evo lump pushing out somewhere north of 500bhp!!! It's fairly infamous on Evo trackdays and has been ever since Alan sold it.

Yep, still the same car. Currently somewhere in Lincoln NOT being worked on

I keep seeing an Andy Robey popping up, not sure if it's the same one though. Rob Compton is still around, threatening to bring out his Belmont in Classic Thunder (where some of the Mod Prods/SRS ended up, along with pre-93).

HI rob hope u r ok .Still remember that damp day at Silverstone national when we finished first and second ,blew all the big cars away. I was told Ron Fields car had a Brizilian block if that makes sense. Corgi actually made a model of it . Think there is only one Andy Robey he won Supers and went into Fiestas on the TOCA package spent alot of money for no reward. Bought a focus for the one make series that never happened is back racing a bmw in nw saloons but car has been seen on ebay

If it did have a Brazilian block I can't see how it was legal, no wonder I struggled to catch him in my legal Ti.

I also remember AL and his white and blue sunbeam although our paths never crossed [he was too quick in slick 50s] .Plus a yellow sunbeam two drivers shared think it was Mike Wright .Vince Mitchell of course we had a good battle one year for the championship he was unlucky at the last round. Richard monk Smith, John Groves and his flying white Metro which it did one day at snetterton

You mentioned the white Mk1, was this the same car driven by Andy Pyke at one time, I think I have a photo of it with blue stripes. Now going back a few years, wasn't there a Mk1 Supersport that raced aswell ?

I remember Jon Warburton's Golf, it looked great with the stripes and after market alloys.

Yeah he didnt like me towing my car back from the track on one of them A-frame things but I still maintained it was safer than driving a race car home after a good thrashing on the track and as four wheels were on the ground I saw no problem.

The Carl Sawford car now belongs to Steve Primmett of Post Historic fame with CTCRC.

His Chris Fulke-Greville had a RWD Corolla until him and Lol Dyke in a FWD Corolla decided to get a bit snuggly at Paddock at Brands and got a late running race cancelled. Lol messed around a bit in other series but haven't seen him for years. Chris popped up in sprints every now and then but haven't seen his name for a while.

There was another one but he barely lasted a season.

As far as I know it is now just me circuit racing a mid 80's Corolla of any form now.
