Brighty interested but not Britek Mk2:
http://v8sleuth.com.au/news/2019/01/...i-car-tcr-deal Seems he thinks commercially he can find funding but will be looking for someone else to run it for him. You wonder if this is in the plan for the likes of MPC and HMO. |

With AusGT at sea right now, MOC would certainly have the capacity to do so.

I'm sort of looking at the positives of TCR.
No complaining of bias commentary or the series is rigged towards Holden, More than three makes (I hope), A chance to go to a 'major' motorsport series/event and park right out the front and pick a good spot in the stands.... Finally a chance for Alfa to win a championship!! |

Do I have to think of everything! Stop at Macca's before the entry and keep it warm on the engine cover AFTER you park. It works with pizza. |

Interesting that the MPC trailer here at Mount Panorama has CUPRA racing on it. I know that it is part of the VAG empire but you have to wonder if they are advertising it whether there is a SEAT on the way.

In fact you could say all TCR cars in some ways have come out of CUPRA! |

They're all built in the same factory in Spain.

Yup, all three VAG cars are the same underneath. Aero is the big differentiator between the three, Audi has a higher top speed thanks to saloon shape, the Golf a more high-downforce set-up and the Cupra in the middle. The Audi comes with fancier appointments, but under the skin, all the same and developed and built by the same people.
It's if anyone half-decent with a Hyundai turns up, that rocks the boat. They should walk it, a superior car even with BoP IMHO. |

Atm I am hearing perhaps 14 cars for round one. Still plenty of time though for that number to go up or down.

I guess that's one less car on the grid, when he was considering buying one...

Great news for TCR and Australian motorsport with the broadcast including AGT and other Shannons categories.
This should see the flow of announcements regarding further TCR entries now |

The Sydney-based team will soon receive a brand-new Civic, adding to the car that was originally delivered to Australia for the launch event held at Sydney Motorsport Park in November last year. The new Civic Type R will come directly from Honda’s official homologation team J.A.S Motorsport, which is based in Arluno, Italy. As well as the new car purchase, Wall Racing has also secured a deal with J.A.S Motorsport to become the Australian agent for the Honda TCR vehicles in Australia. |

Fun fact: the chassis they currently have is #1, the first FK7 Civic JAS built. It made it's debut at the Dubai 24hr in 2018, and served as an R&D mule before being sent to Australia on consignment.

Wondering whether one of these brands is smart enough to put some money down to get one of the promising female drivers around into one of these cars.
