Speed should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Which one is more important for you ?

I know Sir Frank Williams´ answer... WCC of course.

But..., what´s your choice ?

I'd like to see Williams win the WCC, but if it was a choice of my driver for WDC or my team for WCC then it will always be WDC.

WDC. Teamwork is most of it but it is the driver who puts it across the finish line.

WCC - it shows that your team can put together two competitive cars. The WDC gets more media attention though.

Also Enzo Ferrari preferred the WCC, havong to chose one, of course.
Actually I think that tha main return on image for investors leans on the driver, rather than on constructor.
Just to clearify, 1999 final sounded like a defeat for Ferrari, more than a victory, because of WDC loss, despite Ferrari winning WCC.

Just as it was in 1994 for Williams - today most people who are not getting much into details think Benetton won 1994 WCC.

The World Drivers Championship. It was always there before the Constructors - pre-war and post-war.

Anyway, it also shows the WDC is more important when the WCC wasn't even thought of until 1958...

Well, actually pre war was no World championships at all.

I voted for WCC, but I'd rather prefer both.

WDC, nobody remembers who won the WCC, more often than not the WDC and WCC are won by the same combo.

WDC, although I can never understand why Ferrari place the emphasis on WDC. Still, cost 'em in '99.

Being a Honda fan I am more interested in the WCC. To me the drivers are more of a necessary evil. More often than not its the best constructor that also has the WDC. Sometimes the teammates dont live up to standards so the WDC seems like a hero. However, I believe the car makes the man, not the other way around.

It's got to be the WDC. You get a #1 for that. What if you win the WCC but not the WDC? A poxy 3+4!

How many people get excited watching teams compete where they know 2-3 of the players name, nothing else about them, you can't actually see them complete their work, just the finished product? That's what the WCC is about. You can't get emotionally involved with something like that.

Fine, if you want to be picky, it was the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP, which, in essence, was the equivalent to today's world championship.

Number Juan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
putting it simply, the constructor championship is more special seeing as it's a team effort. i would rather win for everyone else than just myself. the thought of just winning for myself seems just a tad selfish to me.

I think the Drivers Championship is more important (at least to me!) as people tend to remember drivers rather than teams. I mean this in the sense of:

Q: How many DWCs has Coulthard won?

A lot easier for the general public to answer than

Q: How many CWCs has McLaren won?

I think the majority will always answer WDC, otherwise, why was there such a fuss when Driver aids were introduced/banned/introduced again/banned again/no wait they're not going to ban them after all?

"We want it to be the World DRIVERS championship, not the world Computers championship" was the type of post that was zinging around back then. (still is!)

So individual drivers let the audience make a connection and support more than just some of the Drab and featureless, hiding behind press release teams.... (naming no names of course...but that covers about 90% of them after all! )

IMO the WDC is the most important but the WCC is important too as it gives the minor placings some value, those drivers who cannot win the WDC have something to aim for by trying to push their team as high as possible in the WCC stamdings.

But ultimately IMO the WDC is more important, its the reason we have a championship in the first place, though as mentioned above I'd like to see a little more driving from the drivers!
