Tom Pryce and Jansen Van Vuuren- almost 30 years on

It has been almost 30 years ever since the lives of F1 driver Tom Pryce and South African track Marshall Jansen Van Vuuren were lost. On a side note, can we talk about the people themselves and not the "death" video left behind. RIP Tom and Jansen.

Dutch chap should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Jansen Van Vuuren made a tragic mistake that day. It frightens me that, although safety in motorsport and in F1 in particular has grown immensely, the same thing could happen again in this era. It's time for the FIA to focuss on the difficult task of marshals around the world and help them to do their jobs, by offering the less experienced decent training and listening to the more experienced about the do's and don'ts. By doing so, the death of these two men will at least give us something more than just the remembrance of a very tragic accident that cost the lives of two young men.
