F1 on twitter
I always thought Twitter was for pretentious self-important people until I noticed a few of the F1 guys are now 'tweeting'
No I'm addicted to it and seeing what everyone is up to, people like Mike Gascoyne, Heikki Kovalinien, Jake Humphrey, Jon Noble are regularly tweeting and it gives a great incite to what is going on over than f1 weekend. Its worth joining twitter just for this, check it out.... |

Yes, quite a few drivers do have Twitters. Here's some you may want to add:

Hulkenberg's his "official" account but he doesn't update it, I've not seen Alonso's before and it doesn't look legit, and Vettel's isn't legit either. The rest are all updated by the guys themselves, as far as I can tell

check out this site http://twitter.jamesallenonf1.com/
James has created an F1 twitter feed which aggregates all F1 related tweets. You can narrow down the tweets by drivers, teams, media, etc... Its the best site I've been able to find for this...definitely recommend checking it out |

Nice to see, it's about time F1 dragged itself into the world of 21st century communications.

I found twitter interesting for some of the drivers in other series - sometimes they can be interesting, but for the younger guys, it usually shows what idiotic pratts they are when away from the track. For some of these F1 guys though, it looks like they are just using a twitter account as another PR channel - posting press releases, interviews and such... as opposed to the more authentic ones where they talk about the disgusting ham sandwich they just ate.

I've only found Hulkenberg's to be like that, because he's not doing it himself. The rest are all great fun to read - check out Alguersuari's or Webber's or Chandhok's
I've never noticed any of the drivers' proper accounts to be just for PR |
