Free tickets for Silverstone from Halfords.....

Halfords are giving away up to 50,000 free tickets to Silverstone for the BTCC. All you have to do is send them your name, address and telephone number and they will send you a voucher that allows you 1 free ticket if you first buy one for £10.

So for all of those moaning about the entry price at Brands of £40, how's that for a bargain?

Can't complain, just wondering how many people that they're expecting for my least favourite circuit.

well if they give away all of them then that will be 100 thousand, if they are making you pay for one to get a free one.

Never realised you had to buy one to get in free - I thought you got one free if you answered the questions correctly () and then are able to buy one extra at the price of £10...

GreenFlag are giving away 25 pairs of tickets for each race weekend if you're interested... (speaks a winner of tickets to Thruxton )

2 tickets for a tenner is still a good deal whichever way you look at it.

Well I this week spent about £700 on a mountain bike from them and was wearing my VX Racing fleece at the time (which was not good as it got bloody hot while I was out and I had bog all underneath except a pale and aging body), which the bloke commented on - the fleece not my bod. He drives a 307 apparently and is a bit of a Team Halfords fan. Anyway, nothing was said on the ticket front. You'd think for that money they could throw in a couple of tickets. Jeez, I sound like the Citroen ads don't I... or is it VW... you know what I mean - post office, ice cream van. Still, if they're doing proper priced tickets once again, who cares? I am not tight by any stretch of the imagination - but £40 to endure the Brands nonsense was too much I'm afraid.

When is the BTCC at Silverstone? I may just pop up to Halfords in that case...

8th June.

I assume you can get an "entry form" in Halfords too, as I spotted an ad in yesterdays Sun with a few questions to be answered and sent away.

ps - the ad also reads...
"ticket holders will be able to buy an additional adult ticket for £10 and take under 16's for free"

Worth a try for that money, though.

Just picked the forms up from Halfords, my parents are going (mainly to meet up with some family friends) - I do not need a free ticket as I have a season pass - but it is a cheap day out for them and hopefully they will pay the petrol costs
