Honestly, this car will be terrible, and I love it. Le Mans is filled with broken weird cars. And that's how it should be. This car deserves to race.

I'm optimistic for a finish at a 6 hour race, but first outing being Sebring is a tough ask.

I agree, this car needs to be here, every other car built to the regulations that wants to be here is. WEC needs Vanwall and Glick to make things interesting at least. And what was that old LMP900/P1 car that was always broke, Lavaggi? Loved seeing it there, even if there was no chance.

But lets be honest, Vanwall has assembled a decent looking car to be driven be great drivers. The effort is there.

Couldn't see the race : does anyone know why did the Vanwall lose so much time (25 minutes) in the pits in the final two hours ? It was way later than the Peugeot ram.

Anyway, except Villeneuve is a bit too slow, it was a good showing from a car with virtually no test compared to the other guys in the category.

suspension failure in sunset bend. they then just sent it out again without fixing and had to come back in instantly. this was after the rather sizable contact from the peugeot on that exact spot which probably caused this to eventually fail

I missed the Vanwall-Peugeot coming together at 17 but I wasn't paying too much attention to the race anymore after our little 'hybrid adventure' with the 94 earlier on!

Poor old JV's time was cut short. Guerrieri gets most of the lappery. Dillman teh quick laps - with half his laps at Guerrieri pace, and the best half 1s better.

I think he's mostly just there as a bigger name, which is ok but sad at the same time. I'm not sure if his pace will improve or if he's not a good fit for the seat. Either way it's costing Vanwall a lot of pace.

Aye, but when you have no realistic prospect of winning, why not stick a name driver in it? Could at least get you some extra attention.

I don’t think he’s got the pace of the others either, but he’s not getting the running wither to really show us or improve.

Personally I wouldn't have said so. But I guess it allows the ACO to refer to there being an F1 WDC in the line-up....
