Mr H J Shuttleworth 24hr stop watches
I have just purchased from an ebay seller a wonderful pair of Ulysse Nardin timekeepers watches in a custom made timekeepers case . They were bought in 53/54 as I have with them a newspaper cutting and photgragh of the Mr Shuttleworth with them. He was a jeweller and they cost him at that time £350.00 quite an amount in those days and the watches had to go back every two years to Ulysse for servicing. I intend to probably use them for time trials. I was told he timed at most of the citcuits in the 50/60 and 70's, cars, bikes and even planes.
Does anyone have any memories of him. |

Coincidence?
Just spotted an obit in an old Autosport magazine.
The entry appeared in October 1982 for a Bill Turner who was an RAC Timekeeper and also a jeweller in Blackburn, Lancs. More than a coincidence? |
