If the organisers are trying to promote a modern event, the yes, why is Bob Gooding being allowed an entry....? But then again they allow Super National 240 Volvos that are older than Group B, ok i know they are in a different class., but surelt the principals should be the same for the 2 top classes...!

Please see my answer on another thread - its not about age its about homologation group! These are the same rules that have operated for several years.

Oh sorry, i thought PS & Co wanted cars that comply to European spec rules, of which i would have thought BGs Escort wouldn't comply, but then again Ollies 306 doesn't comply & is allowed to run...!

Probubly not this year if i'm honest, just want to find our feet first and make sure things are relighable before venturing on to the continent, but i dare say we will have a go next year at some point. I'd love to have a play in norway or sweden, but it's just the cost of getting there thats the killer.

I do plan to have a play across the sea at mondello later this year though.

A while back I mentioned that it would be good to get Gronholm over for the Superprix, then heard whispers it was trying to be done (at the time wasn't sure if true or not)

Now today in MN it says by Sean Moriarty "GRONHOLM KEEN ON SUPERPRIX"

Apparently the organisers have phoned Andreas Erikksson but nothing is concrete at the moment

Hopefully if Gronholm comes then it will be a massive scoop for the organisers and Get Connected and SG Petch

It would be great to see Marcus at the Superprix, and after reading the headline I was really excited, but when I read the article was much less so.

According to the article someone from the evet sponsers has spoken to Marcus, and the organisers have spoken to Eriksson.
The line in the article that says the most is a quote from Andreas Eriksson
Quote:
I have not spoken to Marcus about this at all and we do not have any plans to be there at the moment
I hope that a deal is put together to get Marcus to the Superprix, but it's early days yet.

I have heard Eriksson is actually trying to bring over all four fiestas if its possible. Hedstrom, Gronholm and Solberg's car with eprhaps Opland in it - now that would be awesome!!

Have heard this type of thing before form these people

It's just propaganda to try and get you to buy pre event tickets

Nothing wrong with that but the number of names I have seen associated with this event over the years, compared to the number actually competing is very different.

As I say I havent a problem with pre event promotion, but dont beuy a ticket presuming Marcus will be there, Andreas has never done the event before to my knowledge.

Do you really think motorsport news would print a front page headline on the whims and rumours of the organisers....?????
