Tino offered it to me a couple of weeks ago, for a lot less than that - LOL

The reasons he told me he was selling it were quite funny. And when he sells it there goes our supply our 2nd hand tyres - LOL

Micheli's car is now being run by Geoff Taylor in victoria, the body work is looking a bit sad these days compared to when Mike had it. Was an immaculate car.

Thats the one, to bad mike isnt having any luck with his new XY falcon. I think his 65 now holds the lap record at calder with Geoff at the wheel. The 69 he built after the 65 is the car gavan bullas won the biante championship in last year and is leading the points this year.

Older West Aussies may remember the pristine Mustang that Gordon Stevenson used to trot out for the odd meeting when he would leave the Alfa at home - it was one of very few Mustangs in WA at the time and the only one that I ever saw on track at Caversham or Wanneroo that was WA based.

Not to be picky but isn't the new car a XW? I think Micelli still holds the PI lap record in the 69 too doesnt he?

Pretty sure that he bought it new (65/66 model ) and built it up himself , he was quite a conservative driver in the Mustang but used to give the Alfa heaps , the Mustang used to race against XT Falcon GT (Rod Donovan) and in 69/70 the XW GTHO Falcon (Stan Starcevic) and (Wayne Negus in a variety of Holdens) with (Fritz Kohout) in a Porsche .
I don't know what classes they were racing in (series production was the major category) but it was just local WA sporting car club meetings .
Was a nice pure white car with a small English flag decal on the drivers door .

I remember seeing John Mann's 64 Mustang raced by someone else when he had the 68, not sure if it had been sold or not.
