TrueBlueFlyer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Kiwis vs. Aussies

Surely there's more to marketing V8's events than just this tag line so often overused in New Zealand.

Leading up to the last Hamilton ITM400 there were Auckland area billboards carrying that slogan.

And now there's this:

Can't they come up with something fresh?

they should put up a photo of a Kangaroo (with boxing gloves) head to head with a sheep (holding onto another ones buttocks) and call it The Fight of the two marsupials

Agree, currently it is pretty dead contest after the Olympics and the Rugby but there is a glimmer hope for the Skippys as there is still the Cricket and League to come.

maybe they should run a proper Aus Vs NZ test match in these new cars.
not really a battle when the aussie drivers are paired with the locals, is it ?

Who cares where the driver is born?

Typical media-fed BS.

I think its poor marketing, few kiwis seem to care about this rivalry, no aussies really care about it

It's not great marketing, most of the Aussies are partnered with Kiwis, so it's hardly Aus vs Kiwi is it?

If it needs marketing, then it's an ordinary product.

I'd say that's incorrect. Not sure it's worth arguing over, though.

I'm interested to know which successful products haven't been marketed... Could you name a couple for us?

I tried to think of something but in history that wasn't marketed but even Eve was doing some marketing when she dropped here leaf in front of Adam.

Back to the subject it looks like the Aussies thrashed the Kiwi's

Was there a leading team with only Aussies in it?
What do you base your conclusion on SM?

1st - McLaughlin & Webb (One kiwi, one Aussie)
2nd - Perkins & Cassidy (ditto)
3rd - McIntyre & Lester (two kiwis)

How did you arrive at that conclusion S'Man, what did I miss?

ok, why didn't Whinecup, Lowndes, Tander, Courtney, Gisbergen etc race in this? they would've smashed everyone else. nobody got hurt as TC assumed, and injuries to drivers dont normally happen so often, so it doesn't make sense how the top drivers would wanna snob this race.
