Could this year be a repeat of 2000? (except with Williams in McLaren's position)
Think about it. In 2000, Ferrari were dominating in the early races. But in the mid season, MS had 4 DNFs out of 5 races, none of them his fault, which opened the door for McLaren to take the title fight down to the wire with Ferrari, with Ferrari coming out as the world champions.
I think if this happens, it will be Williams who will take the fight to Ferrari. What do you think? |

No. For a start, we need a mid-grid team to qualify near him and create a bit of a start-line tangle. I was hoping somebody like Takuma Sato would fit the bill perfectly but unfortunately Eddie Jordan went to great lengths to make sure it wouldn't happen. So, maybe Renault might be able to do something, emulating the success of Giancarlo's Hockenheim manoeuver in 2000, when Benetton was a top four team. It could happen, but Jenson's not really much of a rookie any more, Fisi's gone to the back of the class and Jarno, oh I don't know! And I didn't come up with this stupid idea either, so don't accuse me of being mad.
It could happen though, and we'll find out when TGF breaks his Austria curse. If he does, please unplug your televisions. Last edited by Nicholas; 9 May 2002 at 21:00. |

TGF and Ferrari will win all the way to the WDC that's for sure and by next year he'll break Senna's record.

If it DID happen then yes Williams would be there instead of McLaren... but my money is on TGF winning a couple of more races... I'm not complaining
