never heard of that. There were at the inner city 2 years ago, but there were political problems and the people in Berlin are not keen on having the race in the city.

Does anybody know what will be done with the current FE-cars next season? Imo they should be used for a sort of feeder categorie, especially since the on-track program is a bit thin as it is now, with no support categories whatsoever.

You mean like a FE2 championship, for F3 graduates? That could be an option.

Most of the cars will be kept by the teams as showcars. A few others will end up in collectors' garages. A FE2 championship with the current cars would be far too expensive. |

Really? That is difficult to believe for me. The cars are already fully developed and built. The tracks are there already. Electric engines are supposed to be low maintenance because of fewer moving parts and lower temperatures.
Having said that, I really have no clue about budgets for FE-teams. Does anybody have any information on that? |

In 2016, the budget for Formula E was officially capped at $3.5m. For sure it doubled up in the last two seasons.

The first motor race in Switzerland since the fifties! That was in many ways a weird race. A few things that I noticed:
- Di Grassi stronger by a margin. It looked like the Audi was way more efficient than other cars, except maybe Vergne. -Vergne was attacking like mad, but it did not seem to cost him much more energy than others. -There were so many drivers pinged for speeding during the FCY, but none for overtaking under yellow. Something I thought I saw a group of cars do when they at the same time had to avoid a wing on the track (Vergne hit it) and overtake a slow Mahindra. That seemed way more dangerous than going a kp/h or 2 over the speed limit. -The marshals left the retired car of Prost right in the middle of the run off area where he parked it, despite a crane at the site, a big hole in the wall. And they did not even wave a yellow flag for the rest of the race. |

The only weird thing I noticed was Vergne throwing Felix to the wall and getting away with it without a penalty.

Last 2 races of the season this weekend at NYC.
If Vergne expands his lead by 7 or more points on Saturday race to Bird he becomes the new champion. If not it will be decided on Sunday. There are no other drivers with championship hopes. |

Congratulations to Vergne and Audi. Vergne could have played more games in the last race by holding up the audi's more to give Buemi a chance to put his nose in, but then, what can you ask more for than a win...

Oli Turvey stays at NIO. Nobody else wanted him anyway.
