Owning about 6 Pentax lenses, switching to another brand is out of the question, so I will be purchasing a Pentax digital body soon. The only difference I see on the two bodies is the K100D has the 'Pentax shake reduction system' and the K110D does not. Since a lot of racing shots are from panning, and a blured background is a good thing, it seems like the extra money for the system would be a waste, since this feature would be turned off most of the time.
Any other thoughts about the need for a shake reduction system or Image Stabilizer function as I think it's known with Canon cameras? |

The Canon system has "mode 2" which only stops shake in the vertical plane, so your panning can benefit from it. Not sure about the Pentax system though.
Coul dbe handy for some longer exposures, or slow shutters around the pitlane though? |
