Alex Toropov should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
there's surprising note on autosport.com article...

Quote:
Loeb added that along with the cars from Audi and Peugeot, Pescarolo will run one diesel car, but that he would not have been driving it.

is it editor's mistake or I missed something??

it is yet another transcription from his site, French version states nothing about a Pesca diesel and DSC double-checked with Henri. See also le mans Series thread.

Well, I'm not convinced at all 2007 LMP and le Mans race will be "boring" at all !!!

I hope that the Audi and Pugs will dominate the race when they're both turned up to full bore, then for next year there will be revised equivilency because it is so obvious the advanatge they have.

i DONT want to see domination, i like to see a level playing field, the audi domincance pushed my dad away from liking sportscar racing completely after 2002.

it was nice seeing pescarolo, dome and creation challenging audi, not having audi shooting off infront with the pugs in tow

This has been an age old problem and a level playing field has never been exactly that "Level". The nature of prototype racing is to develop a car in such a way as to make it faster and more reliable than prevoius models and that has been the crux of LeMans for many years. So all this bleating about who is doing what with which engine/fuel type is just a replay of the sort of whinging Ferrari used to and I suppose still do in F1! Do we really want to stiffle creativity and go down the procession route as Bernies show has done?
I sincerely hope not!

No problem! just reduce the diesels to 4 Litre turbo (as for gasoline) instead of the 5.5 Litres that they are currently allowed.

Sounds like Seb went out and got drunk with his publicist a few weeks ago. Those are the situations that I usually end up saying things that I don't remember afterwards...
