Gropa Cars

Were they all built from Chevrons or did they ever build their own chassis ????? How many were built .

By incredible coincidence, I was talking to a Gropa owner on the phone not five minutes ago!
My understanding is that seven of them were Chevrons (B6s and B8s) with the roof chopped off; and five more were ground-up jobbies.

Ive got some Gropa bodywork in my workshop. We are eventually gonna make a trackday car that has that lovely look of early 70s sportscars

On TNF recently Richie asked about Race Designer Bob Curl. I believe that Bob Curl was the designer and builder of the Gropa's. Richie made contact with Bob Curl, you might try to contact him thru Richie on TNF.

Ted,

Please find the Chevron and Derek Bennett thread on the "other" site... a short while back, I posted a story that appeared in the Chevron Association News - an interview with Andrew Mylins, creator of the G.R.O.P.A. cars.

I thought Bob Curl was responsible for the Nomad sports cars. Is that right?

That's correct, along with Mark Konig... As far as I know, they built three cars.

Here is an overview of their efforts.
