Monza, what a great place. What a shame that they ruin it by taking this joke of a Motorsport series there.

8. Lots of fantastic wheel to wheel action. Not enough Vettel retirement to take it any higher, but still great to watch!

Certainly a fantastic circuit and fortunately it hasn't been sanitised like so many other tracks. A good race, went a bit off after the second pitstop but a great battle with Schumi and Lewis. 8

I liked the TGF vs Hamilton action, but then Button was just brilliant.

I gave it a 7. I think the DRS was just about right here. Mr. Vettel did some racing today. A super 'dusty' move on Alonso after he fluffed his start. Good action from Schumi and Hamilton. Plus Button was in the mix.

Worth an 8, as was the after race BBC banter, the 'historic' European GP's usually produce greater spectator interest/support than the 'new' additions, Monza is in the top league.

8 Always something going on, mostly involving a Mclaren. Good race, shame Vettel did not have to fight a bit harder, but he was streets ahead of the others.

10 - but only just, Vettel dominating again made it slightly less exciting than it might have been, but then there were great battles right the way through the race and it was great to see Schumacher fighting near the front of the field.

8. Great race, loved watching Lewis struggle against Schumacher where Button in the same car breezed by. Only let down by Vettel winning, and Ferrari not winning.

7 almost an 8, a brilliant drive by Button, but a race that was marred by TGF's dangerous driving.
Shumacher ... once again proving that he is, always has been and always will be a liability ... |

I gave it an 8. It was a great race, but lacked a real battle for the lead and a suprise driver in the mix.
Still loved it though |

Not too bad for Monza. I like the way that the DRS is causing a few teams a few headaches.

I should have said some great passing at this race..
The design of Monza is a simple layout, but provides some really great racing, interesting.... |

Thoroughly enjoyable, although I would have liked to see more of the battles down the field. A 6, knocking it up to a 7 because it's a classic F1 track.

8 for me as well.
not too much focus on the midfield action but that just means there is better action up at the front...well 2 to 5 anyways. an absolute pleasure of a race to watch. |

A 6 for me, botched Start by Lewis and Jenson being too far back, they were the only one's who could challenge Vettel. Another snooze fest once he got past Alonso. I liked the pass by Senna on the Toro Rosso though. Michael/Lewis battle was great, but where's the consistency FIA?
Why is this being rehashed over and over? Button got by because Shumacher put a defensive move on Hamilton that opened the door for the following car. Anyone else probably would have done the same thing. Button only closed up on this battle because of the excessive blocking Shumacher did. Funny how there were no penalties on Michael, but be the situation reversed, I wonder how many drive through's Lewis would have. The FIA need to stick to their words and rulings, this was easy to see they failed to do anything until Lewis complained. After about 3 laps worth of the same 'illegal' blocking. |

Personally I didn't see any blocking by Schumi, other than one move then reclaiming the racing line, which is permitted within the rules. Was he aggressive? Yes. Was it within the rules? Yes I believe it was. I would hate to see racing without aggression in the same way that I would hate to see dangerous racing.
MS vs LH did get risky at times, but perhaps only because MS didn't jump out of LH's way like others are being softened up to do. 6 of one & half a dozen of the other....I do like to see racing, and I saw it on Sunday. I think we should admire it when we see it, rather than whinge based on nationalistic prejudices. |
