Well if you look Kovalainen finished 2nd in leg one and must have had some drama in race two considering his final finishing position. Stefan De Groot has shown well and I've never rated Courtney anyway.
Kerr didn't even race and certainly would have ruffled a few feathers in Korea. He'd gone well in first practice and was top of the timesheets before his accident in the 2nd session. Jamie Green, 9th on his F3 debut I see you people who where first to slag him off yesterday have suddenly shut up today. Respect to the French runners though, especially TSM on their Macau and Korea efforts. The people who rearly get on my nerves are drivers like Gary Paffett. Good a driver as he clearly is he is constantly in Autosport slagging off the British series and saying how much better the German series is and yet on every single oppurtunity he could prove this he chickens out. He hasn't entered one blue riband F3 race in his two years in the German series due to various poor excuses but is the first to open his mouth. Takuma Sato already in an F1 drive didn't chicken out from Macau last year did he, that's a driver who deserves respect in my book. |

It was a joke Gaz... I personally have a deep respect for the British serie. But I never understand why the French serie was so underated for years whereas it produced many talented drivers : Laurent Aiello, Olivier Panis, Soheil Ayari, Jean-Christophe Boullion, Christophe Bouchut, Eric Hélary, Franck Lagorce, Sébastien Bourdais, Franck Montagny, Stéphane Sarrazin, David Saelens, Ryo Fukuda, Jonathan Cochet and now guys like Tristan Gommendy and Olivier Pla.
Look at Derek Hayes. When he signed to run in the French Championship, he thought that it would be easy for him to win the championship. But he just won one race. Now this championship is definitely over, because the Federation has decided to merge the Championship with the Germans into a reborn Euro Series, because there wasn't enough media coverage in France. But look at the French teams and the French drivers next season, you won't be surprised Last edited by Shunt the Hunt; 25 Nov 2002 at 09:29. |

G Paffett might not look too brilliant but R Kerr hasn't exactly looked too good in Macau/Korea has he?

In Macau, yes, he was a bit disappointing, especially in qualifying. But in race, he improved well. Not enough to win but he could have reach the top 5, if he was luckier. |

At almost the same time there was a stalled car that had to be removed from the chicane area. If Kovalienen had'nt been quite so quick to notify his stall, there would have been a delayed start due to that other car breaking down on the green flag lap. As for the race being a bit longer - safety car out for 2 laps whist car craned off at the hairpin. |

Kovalainen didn't stall-his driveshaft broke.

So how'd he manage to race from the back of the grid at the restart then? Start delay = grid parc ferme?
The stall story came from the startline marshal. Unless you are closer to things than I was. Last edited by Bodysnatcher; 28 Nov 2002 at 15:59. |

Heikki started from the pit lane at the restart. The car was pushed into the pits where the team changed the driveshaft before the restart.
