I will be on the bank on Saturday and then on Sunday afternoon. I am leading a Taster Day session on the Sunday morning, so I might be wanting you to talk sensibly to my Trainees if you are at Copse or Brooklands - I know that's a lot to ask!

Had a gander on "MetCheck" and it looks like it will be sunny intervals. May well be good wx wise. Has the weather forgotten it is a BH weekend ?

Nina and I are there in Race mode. We are bringing the car up on Sat ready for the 2x MR2 Championship Races on Sunday.

Sadly we are the only MR2 MK1 (Class A) entered, and the field is nearly all MK2's (Class B). These have about 60 or more BHP extra and generally lap about 4-6 secs faster on the National. Due to the wide open corners and longish straights I hold out no illusions as to where Nina will be, but you never know she may take a scalp or two if Syd and Simon in the firecar give her a nudge up the straight LOL.

If she finishes she will get a class win - our first ever trophy which means a lot to us for various reasons. She is chasing her old lap time of 1:22.5 from 2 years back. Winning (finishing) both will put her 2nd in the Championship.

Please cheer her on from the bank! Hopefully she won't make a visit, but if she does, you all have my permission for extensive mickey taking.

Gerry - we are Q about 9:20 I think. After that you are welcome to bring the Taster guys to the paddock if you want and come and see us - I would be delighted if you did. We should be Paddocked up at the front of the fenced area behind Scrutineering. Nina's car is #74 - matt black/white viper stripes - green highlights.

Thanks Tony - I will take you up on that offer. We tend to do Brooklands first, then Race Control before wandering up to Scrutineering so if we drop in to see you it will probably be about 10 to 10:15.

Hoping to spend a couple of days shadowing a PC for a change this weekend, as well as assisting Gerry with the taster day tour on Sunday morning. How many of the 11 will turn up this time? If any of you are lurking on here then say hello now and make sure you allow time to come out and play after lunch, even if only for a few hours!

Look forward to seeing Nina racing again - so much nicer than that grumpy chap we had driving the car at our training day this year

Shouldn't that be expensive mickey taking?

Seriously though, hope she does well, certainly deserves it, I'm @ Mallory on Sunday and Monday so will be looking for a report here

That makes two marshals out racing this weekend then If anyone notices a red XR2 doing anything it shouldn't, you could always forget to call it in.

What number in what series? Presumably Classic Stock Hatch?

We'll pop over if we can...

After a change of plans, heading down for this one, Sunday only. Thanks to Peter Harding for a quick turn around.

First time with flags this year, better remind myself what they all mean.

Hmm, just checking. Simultaneous blue and white: you are being overtaken by a JCB.

That's a bit cruel

There for both days of this one, tend to be on flags when I go to Silverstone so I will try not to blue anyone on here too enthusiastically. Then off to Mallory for something called "spectating" on Monday. Sounds a very strange habit, apparently involves purchasing tickets - it'll never catch on

I think you'll be impressed by the size of the crowd on Monday

I too will be there, though this will be my first event after the trainee/open day. Hopefully the weather will pick up, but last time i got sun burnt, so a small trade off.

Is it normal not to recieve any paper work nor find out what position i will be in until the day? I signed up through Silverstone Marshalls and only got an email confirming attednance so assume post will be sorted out onthe day?
