DTM 2016
Well, it seems from what I've read so far that there'll be likely very few driver changes for 2016.
I've read that Audi has said it will not change any drivers, or maybe that was BMW? Anyway, one change there could be is Robert Kubica. In this Autosport piece it says DTM is a possibility: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/121434 Though in this week's paper magazine it says DTM is almost a certainty. Any thoughts, rumours etc. for DTM 2016? |

There is of course the long-rumoured Wehrlein to Manor move. If that happens there will be a new seat that perhaps Kubica could fill, or someone else (Rosenqvist?)

Ocon is a no brainer if Merc is not willing to put money on Ocon for GP2.
In fact he was rather mighty impressive during his FP1 outing at Hockenheim , just 2 tenths shy of Pascal and Christian on same weight, fuel an tyres condition while driving for the first time the 2015 C Class Mercedes. |

Wehrlein moving up to F1 (Manor), Ocan replacing him at AMG?

They could choose to promote Juncadella at HWA but Ocon would'nt be a huge surprise.
If he does get along as quickly to DTM as he did in GP3 and F3 i don't see how it would be a problem. Ocon will probably take part to DTM rookie test early in december which means that he will miss GP2 and GP3 tests. Ocon to DTM seems written to the wall. |

And Tonio Giovinazzi and Audi? The man did not take three years to make a pair of shoes.

It's official: There won't be a turbo engine in DTM for 2017. In fact, they plan to delay the new engines until 2019. You know what? Why should I bother to watch the DTM ever again? It's basically the same stale product ever since 2006 and the series organisers have just blown the last big chance to change the product for the better. So why should I watch? Hell, if I want proper German touring car racing, there's TCR Germany next year, a series which hopefully won't be ruined by politicking manufacturers.

I'm guessing GTA/SuperGT wont be happy about that... We'll never see any SuperGT cars in DTM, and no DTM cars in SuperGT, and no world final. What a waste.

Honestly, would it be better if ITR close DTM for good a make an open-wheel racing series for those big 3 German manufacturers to groom their drivers. |

Why should they? The top tier national series in Germany has always been production based or silhouette. There is no point whatsoever in making it open wheel.

I've said it before. DTM is missing rounds in UK, France, Italy, Spain and Belgium, which are the 2nd-6th largest car sales markets in Europe. They should visit Spa-Francorchamps, Donington Park, Le Mans and Mugello, for example.
Also, there should be an ADAC 300km Nordschleife Masters, featuring DTM, Super GT and Carrera Cup, with two drivers per car. |

You might want to look up the meaning of the 'D' in DTM

While I would love a race at Donington, I don't think a British race is needed either - nothing to do with market share size for the manufacturers, more to do with DTM having such a small portion of the 'British racing fan market'. France and Italy are similar size markets to the UK, but I don't see why a round in Italy would be especially beneficial. France? Yeah, why not, I'd go for that. Not sure Le Mans is the right place though. Market is pretty small in Czech Republic, but I'd still like a Brno round! Having said all that, Bramzel is ultimately right about the 'D' in DTM. |

Exactly, only half a million.
According to the European Vehicle Marketing Statistics (admittedly the 2011 edition), that's around a quarter of Italy even, never mind the UK, France, and Germany. That's why no race is necessary in Belgium. |

Juncadella confirms he has a contract for DTM in 2016 with Merc but doesn't know with which team he will race.
Kind of feel that Ocon will take over the Petronas Mucke Mercedes. |

Ocon has been quoted as saying he'd rather do DTM than GP2, which is interesting in a number of ways.
