Yes. Encke are entering one, and maybe two, cars in this years 2007 Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup, the new prodsaloon series.

They do have the two Astra Coupes ready to go, but it is a case of supply, demand and budgets.......... Their main focus is an S2000 car for 2008 now.

Reading today's Scottish Sun Motors, I see Clyde Valley are hopeful of getting out for the 2nd round due to sponsorship deals meaning they can't compete at Brands.

Hmmmm.

And Captain VXRSport are still hopeful of growing a money tree large enough to provide for a near full season in two Vectra S2000 with two undisclosed drivers to be announced soon

All very amusing. How many pessimists does it take to screw in a light bulb?

What's the point, the new bulb won't be any brighter.

Taking what I read on btcc.net as gospel, I assume Eoin is now confirmed for 2007 with Quest.

Happy days!

Yea, Eoin is on the entry list, although things have been quiet from that team for most of the off-season. Hoepfully they've cured the frequent reliability issues they had last year.

Thrilling paintjob! Never seen such a dynamic colour scheme on an Alfa before!

It wasn't really that they had frequent reliability issues, it was more like they had a very limited supply of replacement parts, so had to do a few quick-fixes to make do, which didn't work out.

Personally I wonder what they're up to. There's no way that they will get any cars from Chevy, because all the old ones should be elsewhere (I think), and building new cars isn't done in a day ore two. Why act like they're on the brink of launching a title challenge? (Which is perhaps an exagguration but you get my point)

Ah so RML must be going to build 2 Lacetti's in just over 3 weeks? (till Rockingham)

By the way my previous post should have read delay's instead of deals.

Jimmy - I think Clyde Valley is an ambition of the guy behind it that has got a little out of hand. To my knowledge he's not done much racing himself, nor does he have a team to run the cars. A quick photoshop last year fooled a lot of the media and a lot of us fans too.

Previously, we argued over if any were available, but now we know they can easily buy the '05 that Maurer is selling? It should be quite reasonably priced by now?

Pick up a copy of today's Sunday Telegraph - somewhere among all the sections there's a 16 page SEAT ad... I mean BTCC '07 guide.

Well, last I heard they had given up selling them, and were going to use them in this year's Procar championship. Don't take it for granted though, because the article was in German...

Haha, i made a stupid error today. I kinda thought brands hatch was this weekend, so i've been frantically searching TV guides for it, getting angry that it wasn't being shown.

Even though it's next weekend.
