porsche962fan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
if they were , they are gone

maybe he did sign a deal for next season but this means someone else will go , probably Rob Collard or traditionally Turkington will lose his WSR seat after winning the title...

Wow watch out, the repaint might make all the difference to get them off the back of the grid!

A new livery and garage backgrounds, that's worth 5 seconds a lap!

Hammerton and Thompson now have the same livery. Previously all 4 cars had different highlight colours.

That will save Tony some money not having to carry spares in 4 different liveries...

Black. For stealth: the #HARD drivers will be able to pull sneaky shortcuts in the gloom as the darkness descends in R3 at Brands in the rain...

Or did BMR find a load of old body panels in a shed on the farm?

In fairness to HARD, they had two of the quickest cars on track at Rockingham and the VWs should really suit Silverstone.

I think they may surprise us this weekend...!

Since when was FP1 indicative of race pace?

He was P5 at Knockhill, P6 at Rockingham, P3 at Snetterton and P5 at Croft, yet only finished in the points twice in those 12 races.

Free Practice:

I know you can't read to much into it but my notes:

HARD CC, should be near the front, and no weight- other than the CC lots of 'short' cars near the top..

Fords are lower than I expected, thought they would be higher as they are generally fast in a straight line.

Plato pretty high suggesting Suburu might be clawing back some straight-line speed.

Ingram highest of the title protagonists- not a surprise given the Toyotas strengths

Sutton higher than Turks

Turks 20th...but I expect he might get 5 or so places higher come quali

As i said, the VW's have always gone very well here, the last "dry" race at Rockingham the VW's looked a lot better in Bushells hands in particular, im expecting some top 10's from him this weekend. and points for Thompson again(tho i am prepared to eat those words if normal service resumes)

A little bit curious about Plato in 8th considering the version of Silverstone they use is basically 3 straights and just a little twisty bit at the end and hes always complaining about how little straight line speed he has...

I very much doubt Turks will trouble the top 10. I think 12th - 15th is the best Turks can hope for given the cars relative lack of pace.

Tingram did even poorer than him in FP2 and Sutton just 2 places ahead that matters to Turks most for Qualy

surprised Jordan and Collard so far ahead

I'm sorry to be a bit odd one out but what was the 'exciting announcement' of Team HARD? I didn't watch this space yesterday.

Jordan seems really on pace, bit strange he's been so much faster than Turks so far.

They painted the car black so they can be even more anonymous trundling around in last, 2nd to last and 3rd to last. #gamechanger.

Really surprised to see Tom so low down. Unlike Turkington though, I reckon (hope!) he can drive through the field tomorrow.

Good to see Motorbase getting a good result, surely Tordoff must make the podium tomorrow.

Bushell a bit further back than I expected.

Unusual to see the Collard name on the front row!

When you're that far back, it doesn't matter who is ahead of who. The weekend will be won and lost on who stays out of trouble.
