BP Masters Zandvoort F3

BP Masters Zandvoort F3 is coming ...

What are your prospects for dutch big race? Cross the fingers. Ricardo Teixeira could be there on Performance Racing Dallara F305.

South American Formula Three Championship leader Mario Moraes will make his European racing debut with Carlin Motorsport at the annual Masters event at Zandvoort in August. Mr Trevor Carlin understood that his team is weaker now.

That's not the official site. That is just a Dutch autosport website.

There are no real surprises there, although it's a shame Joey Foster isn't making the trip.

The timetable is here.

After getting used to the Marlboro colours for so many years, it's hard to adjust to the BP ones, but I'm sure it will be just as good an event.

To be fair, I don't think that Teixera could enter without finding a Championship Class car, for the Trophy races don't allow cars that are part of the F3 National Class or equivalent. Hence Khateeb has switched to a newer Lola for this race.

Looking at the starting grid, this could be one of the best races in years. Last year, we had Hamilton dominating, in 2004 Premat and Salignon. But this year, there is not really a favourite. ASM has 4 quick drivers, Manor and Muecke are on speed, of course Conway, Senna and Jarvis from British F3. And now both Van De Garde and Buurman won a race in the last 2 weeks, they are hunting for the win as well. I can't pick someone and say, he will win for sure. Too many options.

That's how it should be! Don't forget Maro Engel either. He was really quick at Spa-Francorchamps last weekend.

Alberto Valerio is not travelling to Zandvoort. The team have decided to concentrate their efforts on getting up the grid in BF3.

I believe Charles Hall will also be missing Zandvoort. There was a rumour doing the rounds at Spa that Stian Sorlie might be drafted in as a replacement by Fortec.

Isn't ASM calling anyone to replace Vettel? They could call Sutil back to this race...

Yeah, and Vettel's finger, which was nearly severed at Spa, will miraculously heal within 7 days!

Wouldn't this be a good opportunity to show some support for the 6 British drivers entered?

It will be a hard race. Good luck to them all.
