Arrive & Drive Advice

Hello all

I'm planning on taking my ARDS test early next year with a view to making my race debut later in the year. My budget is tight and my mechanical knowledge extremely limited so I'd be looking at a one-off arrive and drive entry, preferably at my local circuit (Croft).

Does anyone have any suggestions for cost-effective arrive & drive packages?

Thanks in advance

SH

I know the 750MC MR2 series has good arrive and drive packages available...
http://www.mr2championship.com/arrivedrive.htm

£750 for a single header and £900 for a double header...Only problem i can see is that they havent visited croft this year

Other series offering arrive and drive are....
-the MAX5 Series: http://www.acsnetworks.co.uk/max5/arrive_drive.html
-the ma5da series: http://www.ma5daracing.com/
-F VEE: http://www.formulavee.co.uk/frames/services/arrive.php

and many others!

There is even cheaper rental drives in the Formula Vee Championship but the 750MC hasnt been to Croft in the last 4 years so doubt it will change for next year..

Have a think what kind of racing attracts you: endurance or sprint, open top or tin top, open wheel etc? The look at whats available in that type.

Cheapest tin tops I know are some of the 750MC stuff or Prod BMW.

Ideally I'd be looking at spring racing in tin-tops so something like prod BMW would probably be right up my street. Circuit-wise, Croft would be ideal due to it's location and the fact that it's the only track I've had tuition on, but I'd be prepared to go elsewhere if necessary.

Thanks once again for the advice.
