And is this why ppl constatly rehash old ideas and old racing formats in the forums?

Yes learn from the past but move on and develop the future.

And that IS NOT happening.
Road racing is falling into a faulty version of bracket drag racing; actually it looks more like it is run by Basil Fawlty.

Bob

I think we just have to come to the realization, that some things just lose relevance and lose touch over time.

Is GT1 racing become soo succesful that new manufactures what to concentrate on GT2 cars to be competitive and a chance of winning??

Both the Corvette and Aston teams coments for 2007:

Quote:
Both teams were very coy in post race about if they would be back next year. The possibility exists (remotely) that there could be no cars in GT-1 next season. The presure is now on IMSA (and the ACO) to put a formula on the table that will bring both sides (and others) to the track next year.

Is there a SRO controlled series where the competitors feel they are getting good value and been treated properly? It does seem strange that a change described as 'sucidal' under a year ago is now been imposed on fia gt by SRO.

ffsa is the governing body. SRO are the organisors/promoters.

I wonder if the french gt competitors do feel they get good value and are looked after properly? Also what the competitors in other races in that package feel.
