Interesting seeing that TWR Mazda out, wonder if that car, like the Jag perhaps, were sold off at the TWR auction in 2003? Where has the RX7 been hiding all these years?!!! |

I have quite a few pics - mostly like that one but trying to hit a nice selection of backgrounds. I'm hoping to get some up on my web site before heading off for Pau with delta. I'll let you know if that plan comes off. |

I am joining begging club!
Any pics of Lee Maxted Page winning class and drum brake class in my Speedster. I was at a major meeting at weekend and could not be at Doninton. Frank S is on mend and will probably be leaving Derby Hospital in next few days. |

I gather that certain drivers in FJ have been read the riot act after Donington. About time as I am sure I am not the only person who is tempted by FJ but ultimately put off by the high rate of contact and drivers standards....

That's true Simon, now what car are you going to buy and come and play with us?
After plenty of late nights my Alexis Mk4 is now almost ready for Silverstone this weekend after its incident at Donington, just need to hope the painter finishes the nose on time. Stuart |

You are correct, there has been a Steward's enquiry, with two of our younger drivers going to be taking a summer break from FJ. I don't know the details of their antics at the front of the field.
Being a "Gentleman Driver" towards the lower/slower end of the field (but hoping one day to get to the middle of the field!) I find the driving standards that I encounter, including when being lapped by the fast guys, to be absolutely fine. I did deliberately choose not to put myself in the very competitive and very quick Class E for later cars ... In the eighteen months I've been racing FJ there has been very little contact in any of my races that I am aware of - and none of it with me! James |

Well said James, in my 8 years of racing FJ I have had virtually no contact but a whole load of exciting and close racing with a great bunch of people. Long may it continue.

Stuart the next time we bump into each other I will pick you brains as it seems a very complicated subject.
I hope the knuckle wrapping has worked as its a classic case of the few spoiling it for the majority. And you are right James it does seemto be the later class that has the wilder driving. One of the punished was the much talked about star a few years ago in FJ.. I have a very old friend who was taken out by another driver whilst he was leading the Lurani Championship a few years ago and was very disappointed the driver was not punished. So disappointed he hung up his helmet after many years bike and car racing so this is long overdue. If it sorts itself out I can see myself getting into FJ as I think they are stunning cars and I only hear great things from those who drive them Last edited by simon drabble; 11 May 2011 at 06:32. |

Alexis is coming on well James, the Mk4 should be sat back on 4 wheels tonight. It was amazing some of the things that were damaged that did not look it.
Simon, say hi to your old friend for me and tell him that it looks like his old car is in very good hands and will be giving me a hard time soon. Stuart |

FJ seems a bit topical from recent posts, so here's a couple of batches of them:

I am no expert but has everybody moved Lotus Cortina front axles forwad or is it an optical illusion?

I think you'll find that Zef pointed that out about four years ago. The rear axles also look like they're moved forward.

great photo's - show's how pretty Elites are and how easily they fit in the same company as that gorgeous Ferrari in the first photo. Carol and Ben have really got it right in this series
