Scott Malvern will join the chmpionship for the final three events (2 x Brands & Castle Combe) in a Ray prior to a full championship campaign next year.
Don't know about Palmer but Malvern unlikely to race in Duratec this year as he is fully committed to his FF1600 programme with Cliff Dempsey Racing

"Pride comes before a fall" so my Granny used to say.

With a crash in qualifying and a coming together with Formula Vee championship contender Jake Oliviera in Sunday's heat (resulting in the latter's hospitalisation) I doubt Formula Ford Duratec driving standards will be at the top of Ben Anderson's mind in the weeks to come.

He remains a very personable young man and in my opinion an excellent writer.

I can imagine him editing the rag in a couple of years.

Looks like the champ is slipping away from Jamun and cole. If they had there time back i'd say they would have signed newgarden.

I though Palmer won the Muriel Tomlinson Trophy for highest scorer over the 3races.

Good to see a new team using the Ray chassis will be joining the championship.

Thank you Mr Hill!

Being at this event at Donnington was fantastic for me. I got to meet a hero of mine Damon Hill!
After I rudely interrupted him in conversation sat outside the café on Saturday afternoon, he very kindly had a photo taken with me. If you are reading this Joshua say thank you for me. Made my weekend!

Highly likely that Cliff Dempsey Racing will return to the championship next year, perhaps even sooner, with the Ray chassis

I see that Brands have a Duratec testing day (sessioned with other general testing) on Tuesday 18th August. I`m guessing that this has only been arranged at the request of certain teams (?) who are after some track time ahead of the DTM meeting.

So my question... Anyone know who might be booking in??!! Would be good to FINALLY see a decent number of teams on track at the same time at Brands this year.

It has been opened up to any Formula Ford as I was invited to attend, is it on the GP circuit?

Nope, Indy. All GP days allocated.

I guess they are struggling for takers then!

Several Fordies out this morning. 2 for Cliff Dempsey - Cormac O`Neill and Scott Malvern, Richard Plant in an SC92F, Matos (VD88?), Galpin Swift, plus Grady and Parr.

As for Duratecs I only saw Josh Benson in a GV Mygale.

Was Andre Manzarra out in a Ff2000 car (FPA driver)?

FF Festival

Get your entry in early fees won't be cashed until October. Forms now available and first entries have been received.

Especially Zetec drivers promised numbers should be enough for seperate final.

According to Daniel Erickson's website (http://www.demotorsport.com.au/) he and his KMR team-mate Alex Jones tested on the Indy circuit on July 31. Presumably they and all the other BFFC runners will also be out there next Tuesday.

Does anyone know why there are no official lap times for the BFFC sessions (only the F3 & GT sessions) at Silverstone testing today? From what I hear, anyone who wants these times has to pay handsomely for the privilege - 25 pounds per car per session, no less. That's outrageous!

Here in 'backward' Australia, lap times from all Friday testing (we call it "practice") sessions before major race meetings have been available free to everyone for decades ...

Yes. A very nicely turned out white Van Diemen 82 (?). Lanan logo on the side.

Yes, apart from a minor excursion into the Druids gravel in the morning I was quite impressed by Erickson`s pace. He seemed to be getting on OK given it was his first time at Brands. I am crossing my fingers that I have a few more to watch next Tuesday. Have seen most of the competitors now, but not together. Fluid ran at Brands a fair bit pre-season. Haven`t seen Jamun since late 2008 I think, which is very unusual as they usually test at Brands a lot, being local. Kevin Mills duo were out end of July. Have seen Benson on Wednesday, and Cunill earlier in the year I seem to recall. Given that the focus for Duratecs is shifting towards Brands now (6 rounds plus the Festival in the next 2 months) I am really quite surprised that there haven`t been more people running there of late.
