Cadillac Grand Prix of Sebring #RespectTheHumidity
IMSA continues the season with the second part of racing in Florida in July.
Quick search looks like this is the first top level sprint race at Sebring since 1997. Interested if that's accurate.. Support series are back in action with Pilot (Friday race) and Prototype (Saturday race) Challenge classes. The Weathertech entry list is a bit of a couple steps back and a few more steps forward with the entry growing from 26 to 29. Mainly due to P2 being included again. Also back is the (rather enjoyable in my opinion) afternoon to dusk format from Daytona. Race start slated for 5:35p barring weather delays and running to 8:15p. With sunset at 8:21, there won't be any proper dark racing, though weather could potentially factor in qualifying, less so for the race. This will also be the competitive debut for the C8r, though the team did some February testing ahead of the postponed March 12Hr race. Schedule Entry List Weather Timing Results page, for anyone interested in comparing July pace to previous March runnings Up next is the Pilot Challenge race this afternoon. GS class looks healthy and varied enough with no single marque appearing ahead of everyone else on pace. TCR is a bit different, with 5 Hyundais at the front of a field consisting of 5 Hyundais and 8 other cars. Another weekend back on track, should be a good'n.
