I know it's only the first few minutes of the session, but right now the vipers are sandwiching the Lotus and are around 3 seconds off the front pace

OMG Sascha Maassen just ran the fastest lap 1:18.722 that's 2 seconds clear of Dirk Mueller in 2nd place! He must be on fire for his 100th start!
(That's also a little under 2 seconds faster than the 2011 GT pole time) |

Yeah they shouldn't really draw attention to themselves with the 8.0L engine. Are there no protos running now? I thought there was only one test session today
nvm |

Muscle Milk is rapidly dropping their times (2 seconds each lap!), looks like they could level out under the 2011 pole time, at least by qualifying
also, not surprisingly, Seth Neiman is slower than about half the GTC field |

the #95 is running right now, we're gonna have 4 in P2! (but no sign of the Dempsey on T&S yet)
There must have been a lot of aero development on the P2s over last year, level 5 is now 3rd ahead of the 2nd (2011) Dyson. Also, looks like we're gonna have another good battle in PC if the back markers in the class don't screw up Sweet, Marino is mixing it up with his PC amidst the P1s and P2s Last edited by FstrthnU; 2 Aug 2012 at 20:09. |

wow, the T&S on the Paul Miller Racing car is really broken, they just ran a 1:04.857
edit: nvm, it only appeared on 1 update WHOA, Marino is already 3rd overall ahead of all of the P2s!! I really hope SRT is just sandbagging, because they are running last and 3rd to last around the Lotus |

Thats why I said 'so far'. I guess playing it safe can be a reason for the times. We'll see soon where they're really at!

Muscle Milk is about a tenth off Dyson's 2011 pole ATM, Dyson is shamefully 3 seconds slower than that! The same model as last year's car (the #20) is 4 seconds off the old pole!
Actually, the Muscle Milk time is only .006 seconds off the 2011 time, which is practically nothing. But I have no doubts they will get it into the high 1:11s at least Last edited by FstrthnU; 2 Aug 2012 at 20:43. |

It seemed to keep going for me.
Cytosport finished the session on a 1:12.331. We definitely need to see what Guy Smith can do in the #16. Something just seems off to me. I don't think Dyson has gone downhill as a team that much since last season, if at all. Heck, they practically had their own car by the time they were done with that one Lola coupe, and it wasn't slow. Also, even though it was grandfathered, the Lola-Aston run by Cytosport was no slouch of a car either, considering the Gulf-AMR cars at Le Mans actually stuck with the Audi R15s pretty darn well for a while (certainly much better than the Rebellions have been able to stick with the diesels the last couple years). |
