VB - 1st win, out qualified his team mate, started like a banshee, lead all race and withstood plenty of pressure, seeing off 3 drivers behind him with 8 world championships between them. Good news story.

Well Bottas has to get the vote, great first win when everyone expected the red cars to romp home

"There can be only one!" - to paraphrase Highlander! Bottas. Outqualified his teammate, took the lead at the start, built-up a gap to help out for the pitstop and then resisted the pressure from Vettel to take his first win. Just a superb performance.

'Didn't vote as the poll doesn't allow for two... Both Bottas and Vettel get mine though, as I watched T&S wjilst on TV, They pretty much all drove well today with what each had. I thought it was all fantastic. Driving, strategy, and execution by all.

Bottas. Obviously his first win but he got the better of the Ferrari's at the start to take the lead and drove a superb race.

Bottas, probably at response to possible team orders, he put in a near faultless drive to lead from start to finish and pick up his maiden win

How can you vote for the race winner? That's not what this is for.
How can you vote for for anyone else than the race winner? He won. That's cover those bases. Anyway. BOT. |

The easiest one to answer for a long time. Bottas of course. Even Pete must surely vote for him this time......

Hulkenberg.
But a fine drive from Bottas to get the start aced, hold on despite the push from Vettel at the end and beat Hamilton this weekend. |

I thought Lewis did very well to drag that dog a Mercedes to a magnificent fourth place, well clear of the redoubtable Max Verstappen in a Red Bull. I doubt many other drivers could have coped with all of his problems, and still pulled of a drive like that. Clearly he has all of the hallmarks of a true Champion.
Driver of the Race? No contest. |

Bauble, you'll bite that tongue of yours off if you keep sticking it in your cheek that far!
I'm not sure there was a driver of the race, it was a bunch of professional drivers doing their jobs well. It wasn't a sporting contest that brought out that little bit extra special from anyone. It was just a day to bank the cheque and go somewhere more inspiring. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk |

OK! For me the standout driver was Grosjean, a constant source of excuses, and complaints. Hass must surely regret hiring him, he must be the biggest waste of money on the grid (well when he makes it). Never his fault of course, I find him most irritating. |
