Hmm, speaking of Moslers: I see Martin Short and Rollcenter nowhere on the entry list

There is a clashing DSC/Mosler Challenge round at Spa that weekend, so Shortie will be at that. Shame really, I would have hoped that the DSC could have avoided a date clash. Without that Z4M Coupe it could be a Molser year (again) given a touch of luck and some good reliability!
See http://www.britcar24hr.co.uk/cms/news.php?item.676.1 for latest entry list. |

Without the Z4M, and Mosler looking favourite, i imagine he wouldn't want to go up against his customers. Hard to see beyond a Mosler victory, if this is the final entry. Don't expect it to stay at 59 cars though, i think a few more will get budgets together towards race week. hope so anyway, i love this race, and it deserves a full 80 car grid.

[QUOTE=minimangler]Plenty of Porsche's.
QUOTE] I can only see 2 porsches ( in the top 3 classes ) but will be amazed if it stays that way. Also, it says RSR or Cup for the paragon car. Anyone in the know have an idea which model will be used ? Can't wait for this. Is there going to be a meet-up for a beer like happens at Le Mans ?? |

A marginally better version of the entry list here (same data as the Britcar site, but typed into an excel Spreadsheet)

"Original ALMS"-chassis. Doesn't say if it ever raced, though. The entrylist for the 24hrs says however 3200cc displacement, so I guess they resorted to the Straight 6 engine. Last edited by Speed-King; 3 Sep 2008 at 19:13. |

An ex-Schnitzer GTR V8, could it be the BMW Team PTG chassis? |

What I'd like to know even more is if they run that coveted V8 that everyone wanted and BMW didn't sell

Allan Simonsen is confirmed with Strakka in the BMW M3.
Possibly a test, with possible signing of him for next year. Strakka is planning to run all major endurance races in Europe and the US. Curiously not with modern up to spec cars though. Last edited by Aslak Vind; 3 Sep 2008 at 20:06. |

If its in the DBR9 I can't see him leaving Gigawave unless Gigawave aren't around next year not that I'm hinting at anything. I'm not badmouthing Strakka but I think Simonsen could be better placed elsewhere-especially if they're not running up to date cars-although on the Strakka website its says the DBR9 is running the latest 'works specification'. ?? |

Nope, Duller abandoned the Z4 programme, if I remember correctly citing lack of support from BMW.
