Most Improved Historic Racer 2008

I think a few words of congratulations should go to roger Wills who received that accolade from Marcus Pye in the latest issue of Autosport

Marcus is not alone in holding that view, and not the first to express it either, as I can confirm having reached a similar opinion whilst in conversation with one of our best historic racers a few weeks ago. Well done, Roger. You need to get your exhaust systems, sorted, though!

What's wrong with his exhaust system? He hasn't got dodgy guts has he (or are we talking about his car?)

Roger had some 'fun' (not!) with the exhausts fitted to both the Corvette (Snetterton) and Bizzarrini (Silverstone and Tour Britannia).

Nah....to paraphrase Robert Duvall, he 'loves the smell of burning GRP in the morning. Smells like.........well, OK, smells like burning GRP'.

Seriously, well done Roger! If only I could improve a tiny fraction next season, I'd be happy. Still, I've lost 15kgs off myself (seriously!) since September, so that should be worth a second a lap....

Marcus also gave out Historic FF2000 a good plug in his end of year report as well.

Congrats Roger.
Though how you get this sort of award for this year I'm not sure? Every time I saw you, there was less Bizzarini than the time before...

Hopefully not too much - Although i did allow myself a piece of Christmas pudding, with cream, natch.

You've got to have *some* pleasures in life...
