I believe members can apply for one guest pass so only one membership would be required. As to campsites they are open to all. But as a member you can book the site when you book your ticket, this is in advance of the agencies.

I would like to attend next year too, but my companion is a non-driver, so...
Has anyone experience of camping and arriving by public transport to the circuit? Obviously won't be able to take as much stuff with us, but would be good to know of any options for camping gear in France without a car. |

You could look at glamping or I believe some sites offer pre erected tents.

You can buy a cheap tent once you arrive, but best bet is to try and team up with a group, firstly find out/obtain a camping pass then see who else on the forum is there and then see if you can join them, over the years we have haad plenty of guests join us.

No, ots extra but you need to be a member to book it. Then of course you need to renew before you get to the event if your membership expires.

Chance encounter earlier this week led to a little bit of impromptu advance planning over a glass of something sensible. A little bit of Le Mans in Berkshire.

From your link:"Put simply, the new digital border system will require non-EU nationals – which since Brexit includes those travelling on a British passport – to register biometric details, including fingerprints and a photograph, when entering a country in the Schengen area." Unlikely to happen as written I hope. A valid passeport and, may be , a visa should be enough. At airport gates here, it's impossible to upgrade a French passeport to a biometric one.

4x tickets max per purchase (and only 2 at ACO Member rate) is going to cause headaches for a lot of groups.

This might just be blind optimism but I'm parsing what they describe as "Spruces" to be Tertre Rouge - much in the same way I'm seeing Houx being referred to as "Holly".
It is however the ACO so who knows what on earth might or might not be going on... |

Ah - well that is a consideration. Any idea what we think "Meadow" might be? Edit - yes I've just answered that question myself by looking at the French version. Could be a few disappointed people if this is what things are looking like.

I’ve heard back from the ACO about Tertre Rouge, they’re not sure if it will be available and are currently only listing the sites they are certain of.

Additionally, if you want track view and foodcourt it seems BSJ, Clos Fleuri, Arnage and Mulsanne tick that box. In my experience the bus services from BSJ and Arnage are pretty good. But I'm hoping for Houx or Houx Annexe. I may well need a guest pass for Chappelle etc. so if anyone can order a spare do let me know.

I have Popcorn and drinks ready for Sunday.
as i will not be joining the real race, i might just start enjoying the race for tickets, the swearing over French efficiency and the joy of the winners in the big ticket circus. |
