Charles Warner should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
March 80A-21

We have just purchased March ATlantic 80A-21, an ex-Shierson car driven by Anspach and Cobb, among others. Any history or details of this car's past would be greatly appreciated. Also any leads to other 80A chassis for sale would be of interest.

Thanks.

I have patchy records for 80A and the 1980 Atlantic seasons. I think this was a second car for Cobb, bought very late season and maybe the one used at Trois Rivieres.

Other 80As known in period are
2 [Graeme Lawrence]
6 Shierson for Jacques Villeneuve Snr
10 Shierson for Jeff Wood
18 Nick Adams
20 Rob Wilson in NZ series

Cobb's results that year
R Long Beach
R Sears Point
? Westwood [maybe DNA]
2nd Brainerd
R Lime Rock
2nd Elkhart Lake [maybe with new car after Lime Rock accident]
1st Trois Rivieres
2nd Bridgehampton
R Montreal
9th Mexico City

Chris,

Thanks. Yes, this car has records indicating it won the Trois Rivieres that year. Now, any ideas on 80A-17?

In UK, only other one was the Bernard Hunter car. I'm told both this and the ex Adams one, -18 are in Ireland.

And now another one. March 80A-8. Any information out there on its history?

Thanks,
