2017 FIA Formula 2 (nee GP2) silly season
Just two rounds this year. So have a look at 2017. Who could drive in GP2? My suggestions:
Prema Power: Nick Cassidy - Charles Leclerc Racing Engineering: Jordan King - Norman Nato Russian Time: Artem Markelov - Matevos Isaakyan ART: Nyck de Vries - Nirei Fukuzumi DAMS: Nicholas Latifi - Alex Albon MP: Daniel de Jong - Aurélien Panis Campos: Mitch Evans - Sean Gelael Trident: Luca Ghiotto - Philo Paz Armand Rapax: Gustav Malja - Antonio Fuoco Carlin: Alfonso Celis jr. - Louis Delétraz Arden: Egor Orudzhev - Jake Dennis |

What about Rowland? Likely to get second year, and in a better team. Much better bet for RSF investment than lukewarm Dennis.
Can't see Galael staying at Campos but who knows. Expect Leclerc to be in F1 or with ART. And not sure Carlin will want to continue with GP2. And do you really think Markelov would fund a rookie who is also another Russian? |

Yep i think Rowland will be talking to the top teams provided he has the budget or one of the can subsidise him a bit.
Depends how much Renault still want to back him as well as RSF. Of the current line up who/how many will be back do we all think? |

Delétraz will probably continue doing what he is doing now, or move to a frontrunning GP2 team.
Much will depend upon what Renault and BMW (he is a junior driver for both!) want, and whether Formula V8 and/or GP2 clashes with his other programme(s) |

To keep Giovinazzi and get Galaels budget. Assuming Gio isn't champ this year. Galael pays for Gio career (and Evans this year).

Their next guy being? It's far too large a jump for their F3 boys, so unless they're willing to turn Richard Verschoor into the next Dutch wonderkid (which they won't) then they may have to snap someone up! Any suggestions? Perhaps Giovinazzi himself!!!

Judging by how much Marko was talking to Gio instead of Gasly after the races earlier in the season it's entirely possible!

After all, he picks Van der Garde as codriver (for himself and Giovinazzi) for the LMS races, and not Evans - while in the beginning of the year the 3 were together in the BR01. |

Sure they picked Ecans this year only for the experience to give to Galael as Gio and Galael together no GP2 experience.
If Galael really has a firm 2 year deal it will be s big step down for Giovinazzi to join him there next year! |

Gio would surely only leave Prema for an ART drive unless he has money troubles.

Makes sense. A team doesn't come in and go that well without some string engineering!
If Gio hasn't got any budget then he will be cosying upto the Gelael's and Marko. Or maybe some other programme will pick up his tab for a long term contract? |

Sean GP (Ricardo Galael) has funded his racing for the last 5 years.
