Atom Hire?
First time venturing in here! I hope someone might be able to help me. I would like to drive an Ariel Atom for my birthday this year, thing is, I want more than the handful of laps that seems to be on offer.
I want to fill a large chunk of the day driving just an Atom and I don't really want to drive somewhere for just 6 laps or less. I seem to recall there was a glut of companies offering half day hire and such years ago but they seem to be thin on the ground now or the drive is mixed in with others cars I have no interest in spending money on driving. Is there a company still out there who would let me have an Atom for more than a handful of laps? I'm struggling to find any. |

That lot didn't respond to any of my attempts to contact them last year; I eventually gave up on them and found dirftlimits in Hemel Hempstead. I was down there yesterday and I really enjoyed the experience even if it was over all to quickly! What a blast! After the passenger hot laps at the end, I have a better idea of how to really drive it and may well go back again to give it a real go rather than the cautious run I had yesterday. |

Back again! I'm seriously thinking of giving realgranturismo a go. Has anybody experienced their 'Ariel Atom Experience - Group Training' before and if so, what was it like? Is it worth the current asking price of £800? The blurb on their website says "You will get 3-4 full race lengths session out on track, we aim to deliver 60 minutes max attack track time to take place usually over a half day period." but what is the actual experience like?
