DTRC Silverstone 29th April (PMC meeting)

OK, Who's out at my "local" then?

I should be there with the Amoco Cadiz, silenced, 4 forward gears, oiltank contained, a bigger radiator, and fewer leaks (can't say no leaks - it's a Chevy engine, it wouldn't be normal!)

Rob.

All too manic for this old guy/car/combination, I'll stick to me pre-historic (sorry post historic) racing:-).

Won't be out again until Snetterton - car not too bad from Brands and should be fixed in time, but need to spend some time sorting out house for impending move, or food rations will stop. May pop up to Silverstone as Spectator though !

Carrera,
Are you the gent in the white citroen ? If you are, apologies for the coming together at surtees ( I overtook up the inside) at the time I thought it was 50/50 - just a racing incident, but on reflection it was probably more me !

Sorry !

p.s. The marshalls saved my wing mirror which was surprisingly still in one piece (albeit with glass broken )

I may enter but have noticed there is a £25 supplement for late entries, not sure I want to pay £210 for Silverstone.

Thats fairly typical BARC SECS is £30. You should have got your act together and made the decision earlier!!

Hey I didn't know that when I made the above comment...I'm not psychic! I was also making the point that £25 isn't the most you could be asked to pay!

Thanks for the apology. The loss of the spoiler is not down to you but the damage to one arch and two doors is. Fortunately we have spares.

According to the regs closing date is tomorrow morning. You could email or phone the sec. to say an entry is on its way.

Not sure if my entry will get there tomorrow as it was posted Sat evening.

Yes it is usually the Monday two weeks before the event, I assume they have taken the bank holiday into account. Phoning them is a good idea, you maybe able to fax through the form to them to get it in on time.

Just read the regs and it says no fax or telex facilities (do telexes still exist?)
But they can be emailed providing the original is received the following day by post or carrier pidgeon.

Can we hand completed entry forms to you for Snett if we survive Silverstone? Like to know there is a chance of making the following race before committing to it.
