Sorry I was distracted and stopped paying attention

A year or so the fishwrappers were full of this unprecedented 10 year deal between Mr Reynolds and those at Erebus. It was a love in, a match made in heaven. Cupids bows, bluebirds fluffy clouds and bunny rabbits. Until death do us part.

1 year later he is divorced from erebus and has a new love.

What went wrong? who broke whos heart and how did they get out of a 10 year contract 1 year in?
