Not quite as good as the first two, but still an entertaining race, and we had a pass for the lead. Gets a six from me.

7 for me. Not as good as the first 2 but it was tense certainly for the first half. It’s tight at the top

6. Race compromised by the conservative compound range. It happens so I don't feel the need to blame anyone but still i wonder what might have been with softer options.

The race started off well but after Verstappen got the better of Bottas it gradually tailed off. 5

It had its moments but just not enough of them. Borderline tedious at times. 4

5 from me. Would have been 6 but it made me late putting the chicken in the oven.

7 - Not quite as good as the 1st 2 races. Still, I like the track. The Norris move on Ocon and the Hamilton move on Bottas good examples of the sort of moves that I like to see.

The race was not great, but for someone who counted the points differential between McLaren and Ferrari every lap it felt good in the end.

Not a classic certainly, but some good battles throughout the field, on a circuit where overtaking is possible, in a variety of places. Gave it a 7.

6 for me - saved from being a 5 by the wonderful nature of this circuit, all those undulations and sweeping corners. Race itself was OK but in reality not all that special and it is good to see more closeness between the leading teams.

5 from me. Promised much but didn't really deliver other than showing why Hamilton is a multiple WDC.

7. Not quite as good as the first two races, but still good, with a pass for the lead and pitstop strategy not meaning much here due to pretty much everyone going one stop

Unfortunately I found it quite boring. I would say average at best, and ranked it below average.

4. Once Hamilton got the lead he was pretty untouchable. There was a slight chance that Perez could mess things up at the Mercedes party but once he was out of the way, it was business as usual. The strategy battle wasn't even that interesting.
I like the track, in and of itself. It has some great corners and wonderful undulations but, for some reason, it doesn't seem to offer that much over-taking opportunity. Into turn 1 was the major chance and maybe another one or two places. It also reminded me why I hate DRS so much. It was only saved by the likes of the Alpines, Mick Schumacher and a few others wringing the neck off their machines. |
