Autosport have a summary of all this. It’s quite good if you d been dipping in and out as it puts everything on order:
https://www.autosport.com/f1/feature...e-sponsor-saga They also have some on Niki Lauda: https://www.autosport.com/f1/feature...auda--19492019 Which is way more interesting. |

Rich Energy have really made themselves look silly. No wonder they are looking for a name change to make a fresh start

Guess who's back, back again. Storey's back, tell a friend.
I actually get excited when there's new posts in this thread. Rich Energy is so mental it's fun. |

So far the Rich Energy twitter feed looks like Storey has yet to extract the password from whoever took over social media while he was in "time out". Given his past history, I just can't see it not going south all over again. It just seems to be in his nature. I admit I still have moments of schadenfreude, but I am feeling more and more sorry for Haas these days. I expect Haas has gone through all five levels of grief at this point. There is also this new story... https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/r...ision/4523281/ I don't know if that meeting Wednesday between Haas and Rich Energy was before or after Storey regained control. I hope it gets sorted out for the sake of Haas. They do not deserve this

These 6400 shares were transferred to him by Matthew Bruce Kell, of the BDG Group, making Storey the majority shareholder and so he takes back control. |

Well, HAAS F1 Team knew Rich Energy was a dodgy business with no income, no product and no capital and signed them as a sponsor anyway after supposed "due diligence". The same diligence that saw Williams reject Rich Energy in favour of the somewhat more credible Rokit telecommunications.

Williams needed sponsorship. To not get Rich Energy just added to their woes, so they are now hanging on to what they have got

I wonder if part of the divorce is an agreement to not talk about each other as well as release details of the separation. I wonder how much Haas ultimately got (cash wise) out of Rich Energy and if they got anything like a full or final payment or if Haas was just glad to get out of the deal even if they (legally) may have left money on the table?
In the end, a divorce is not unexpected. Maybe the unexpected part is it might go out with a final whimper vs. a bang? Not that there wasn't plenty of "bang" all along the path to this point. Lets see how both sides act in the near future. I expect Haas to be professional. I can't predict what Rich Energy is going to do. It seems interesting to me that Rich Energy has been very quiet on the social media front even when Storey supposedly back in control. As to timing. I find it interesting that roughly an hour ago, Rich Energy twitter was still talking about F1, and just slightly less than an hour ago we see the statement from Haas (nothing yet from Rich Energy). Haas is quickly updating their social media content. Rich Energy still has F1/Haas info. Its probably just that Haas is moving faster than Rich Energy on this. I guess check back later today or later this week to see what changes. Richard |

Awwww. I was enjoying this!
Note that Rick Parffit Jr, the British GT driver was sponsored by Rich Energy. He's replaced that sponsorship with....Whytes Bikes. |

I was curious, so I looked to see if Rich Energy has unwound their links to Haas. Their main website still has F1/Haas content up. They did have a well done tweet that mentions the divorce...

I don’t think that tweet is genuine. It is borderline professional.

That clip of how good TT riders are is filled with Monster cans. Which is amusing.
