The big problem for an Audi team wanting to run in the FIASCC is the fact that Michelin does not support the series with rubber, only on and with Michelin's blessing can an R8 run.

Indeed that's correct. RfH had Michelin's at Le Mans but in FIA SCC they have GoodYear.

eThat probably would change with the ACO backed series, just as they did for the ELMS races.

I heard a while back that the Euro GT series were going to be racing alongside the FIA SCC for the rest of the year, any news as to whether this IS happening or not this weekend? I know the Euro GT series isnt hugely strong but theres some good cars there, 2 Vipers, 1 Marcos Mantis, and 4 Porsche GT2's, and I belive around 4 Porsche 996's and 2 Ferrari 360s. (thats what there was for Nurburgring anyway). This would certainly help raise the profile of the series for the remainder of the year if u ask me.

Is Crash.net a rival with DSC. I'd never even heard of it until I was lookin for FIA GT qualifying news.

Thanks for the times Jet. Whilst the grid isnt big, the quality of the top 8 looks pretty good to me.

That pre-historic Ferrari is only 0.2 seconds slower than Lammers? Not bad!

What happened to the 2nd RfH car, the Pescarolo and Durango?
Good to see the Ascari on 2nd place. Maybe this result can convince them to do the rest of the season. Indeed Lammers (and Bosch) rules! |

Great shame for us....
Maddalena started, and (in the second start... the first one was failed) had been hitted on the back... obviously the gravel trap keep there for more that one lap, when the marshals were able to make him rejoin the race... but the car balance was already damaged... in fact he spun twice more alone... always at the first chicane... At the first stop we lost another lap, with the battery not "interest" in helping us :'( Also the brake pedal became always more softer and lower [probably that's why Leonardo spun the other two times...]... So Maddalena decided to enter in the pits earlier than what it was scheduled... saying it at the radio just in the streight between the Ascari bend and the Parabolica... so nobody at the garage was ready...nor me!!! I weared helmet, gloves, radio and everything in a few seconds... and jumped into the car... more nervous than ever *__* There was a lot of understeering... and in fact, after some laps [I was absolutely running easy, just trying to make no mistakes and learning the car..], I went of at the Parabolica... "painting" the car in the outside wall... I'm really sad for that... but I don't understand how it happened... I think that I've found something like oil or dust, but I'm not sure... probably the understeering coused by the contact helped, but I don't know... this week the team will study datas from telemetry, and we will discover... but I'm still really disappointed for what happened... |

Is there any news as to whether or not the Euro GT's raced or not with the FIA SCC grid?

They made the first pit after 40 minutes... when the placed more oil in the engine, which was smoking a lot... I think they retired for an engine problema, but I'm not sure.... |
