Yes, perhaps with the changes to Top Hat the grids may well increase further.

Welcome Andy, I think I raced with you in 2004 ?

I agree Peter, if TH proves too much for some then the CTCRC will benefit I hope, certainly far more likely to do so than the HRSR I'd have thought

Hi Andy,

I don't suppose you know the dates for the other CTCRC Series next year do you, or is it just the Pre66 boys who have been finalised?

Cheers

Rumour has it that is is very similiar if not the same, I think we are in the main, on altogether which I think is an excellent idea for any followers of this type of racing and I know there are many, just think no 40 minite Radical races to bore you! :-).

I know what you mean about Cadwell but as I always seem to get my leg slapped for being a naughty boy everytime I go there so I am not overly bothered.

CTCRC 2007 Race Dates

Posted last night. They remain provisional at this stage pending "sign off" from BARC. Unlikely to change though.

Can't argue with the value for money there..

Calendar looks great this year, looking forward to a good few outings. Are you running any more than the 1 date at Stowe this year, or is it just the one this time around?

Looks very reasonable. I'm sure you'll get many takers for those prices. Hopefully it will re invigorate the series. Good luck.

However Stacy, have you left the CTCRC because from the tone of your post it looks like you've moved on.

Hi Peter,

Just a year off of committee, assuming I get voted back on this November of course!

I still have the RX7 and the Lotus is in build for 66 so fully intend to roll out this year for an event or 4..

Good stuff. I hope its a success.

Maybe when I get back to the UK full time (financially I hope not until next year!) I'll find something to come out to play with too.

Andy has single handedly kept 66 alive, and then ramped it up significantly. It was up for a renewed permit last year.. A discussion you'd have thought ridiculous 3 years ago.

I'm keen on the value for money argument too, and as you know the club's advantage is more than 1 meeting on the day - If I get the Cortina sorted I can be competitive in both Pre-66, and Pre-74 so getting over an hours track time a day for under £300 even at BARC entry fees.

Couple that with the RX7 in both 83' and 93', with discounts again, and I've got a full days sprint racing and can go home tired but happy.

What's up with the Capri Peter? Haven't seen it sold?

The Capri is what I'll be out in again. Can't sell it without surgical removal.

Its entered in the Masters 70's saloons and will be out at the MGCC Historic Festival in the long distance races. (Won our class last year).

Only got five long weekends this year so, once again, CTCRC isn't really viable on limited time.
