No report on ratings for this or any other race meetings from The Race Torque.

All good points made in the article and in their shoes I reckon I'd stop too - reality too far removed from the what is officially published by Neilsen.

Sunday qualifying session for the sprint rounds needs a rethink, in my opinion.

Two 12 minutes session on a tight little bullring for twenty five cars, is going to cause a few issues and some clusterfecks for teams.

The programme on Sunday was not time constrained in anyway, actually had a lot of gaps that needed filling.

The humble deck chair on the hill specialist like me self, reckons Sunday should run like this for qualifying,

Qualifying session 1

1. The number 1 car in each team out for the first ten minutes,
2. The number 2 car in each team out for the last ten minutes,
3. Top 12 times go out for a final ten minute session.

Qualifying session 2.

1. The number 2 car in each team out for the first ten minutes,
2. The number 1 car in each team out for the last ten minutes,
3. The top 12 times out for a final ten minute session.

Any thoughts?

The teams apparently rejected a split session and preferred all drivers to qualify at the same time.

Splitting can lead to anomalies in changeable conditions.
