Strangely, I can't seem to work out the track from the foliage in the background...

Spot on Graz and Gore

In all honesty I dont know the actual track but it does look like Portugal to me by the way the surrounding bushes are and the guardrail

the pic is presumably during 1989 post-season testing. The Zakspeed was most of the year with a "winglet" on the top of the airbox most of the year; they stripped that aero on the last races, and Bernd tested the car on some December tests, at the same time where an then unknown Eddie Irvine tested the Onyx-Cosworth.

1994 British GP

Martin Brundel’s McLaren on fire

Controversy because TGF in the Benetton overtook Hill in the Williams on the warm up lap.. Damon won with TGF 2nd but TGF was later disqualified.

Yahoo bonus points for me

Can some tell me why we insert some pictures and not others? The others just get posted as the URL.

Anyone else have that problem or have a fix?

I got it Martyn and remember this one well.

This link was the entry list. This picture was taken at the 1st turn with 01 being forced off the track. 02 was later disqualified for not wearing the a suitable helmet.

It was not a sanctioned FIA meeting and the Burnie and Max show came along and squashed it big time.

See this link for more on that story. Note the Ferrari drawings on the table, this later turned into a spy scandal

Yes that's right this actually happened

I'll PM my bank details to you

Actually at that point in my picture the race was abandoned due to "no one knowing where the track was".So you're wrong and I get to keep my £50.

And I cheated cos I was there, marshaling at Stowe - that was a weekend and a half!

Pryce qualified on pole and if I remember correctly crashed out before the big pile ups.

.....also if you click to quote the original question, the photo link tells you who and where it was. But I knew anyway
