I suspect it is the team holding up their end of a contract by taking part in every session.

'complicated situation'
Doesn't bode well for a speedy resolution. https://www.autosport.com/wec/news/1...ed-spa-problem |

Manor expanded its LMP1 entry from one to two cars when Ginetta increased its involvement in the team after the plans for another undisclosed squad to run a pair of G60s in the WEC failed to come to fruition.
Time for them to 'expand" again then |

Is this the biggest pre-LM financial disaster for a team since that Millennium LMP2 fiasco?

If the Nissan PR dept had been truly terrible, we wouldn't have known about the project and its poor performance would have slipped below the radar.
Anyway, no such thing as Bad Publicity? |

I will never forget the 55 minute Darren Cox "interview" informercials on RLM, repeared every couple of hours when he came to tell the same story of innovation and how kids are amazed of deltawing and zeod and gtr lmp1. #eatsleepracerepeat + "we like to do things a little bit differently here at Nissan". Rightfully he got sacked. And the Mobil 1 title sponsoring for RLM nowadays is how it should be done. Last edited by Deleted; 4 May 2018 at 13:45. |

The ship may not have sunk yet, but it took a long time for Titanic to plunder as well.

Confirming the Chinese money never arrived. Well coloured me surprised. Ginetta should just paint the #5 orange for Le Mans and abandon the #6. |

If I was Ginetta I would have funded the weekend just to save face, after the 6-8 cars on the grid statement

They probably didn't want to do what Dragonspeed did and destroy a car, without the funding in place.

This is bringing a bad show to the WEC imo. Guys that can't even run their cars. The car is there, it's ready, but can't be run because people didn't get paid. Absolutely terrible. I hate to bring up F1, but some of those pay drivers who are not quick enough to ever hope to win an F1 race could fund the whole team of these cars. It's sad to see that the F1 dream is too enticing for these guys to trundle around in cars 2 seconds off pace when they could be doing categories like this and funding good teams with a real possibility of winning Le Mans.
